Australia 2020

The Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd

The Prime Minister of Australia,
Kevin Rudd

Welcome to the website for the Australia 2020 Summit.

The Australia 2020 Summit was held on 19 and 20 April 2008 at Parliament House in Canberra.

The Summit was an exciting initiative aimed at harnessing the best ideas for building a modern Australia ready for the challenges of the 21st century.

The ideas and ambitions from the Summit have been captured in the Final Report and will now help us shape a long term-strategy for the nation’s future.

I want to thank everyone who took up the opportunity to be a part of this discussion about our future as a nation.

The Government is considering all of the recommendations in the Final Report and will provide a response by the end of the year.

As a way of continuing the dialogue about the long-term challenges for Australia, this website has been developed to allow for the further submission of ideas.

I encourage every Australian to continue to contribute their ideas and be part of this national conversation about Australia’s future by making a submission online.
