Submissions
Following the Australia 2020 Summit held on 19 and 20 April, the Prime Minister would like to invite all Australians to continue the ‘national conversation’.
In order to continue the dialogue this website has been upgraded to allow for further submissions of ideas.
Before you make a submission
Before submitting your ideas, please take some time to read the Initial Report and/or the Final Report from the Australia 2020 Summit. These Reports include results across the 10 streams of the Summit, including ambitions, priority themes and top ideas from each stream.
The public submissions process is designed to continue the dialogue and encourage an ongoing exchange of ideas about 10 core challenges that the Government has identified for Australia – to secure our long-term future through to 2020.
The ideas and views expressed in public submissions will be progressively reviewed, and will help inform the Australian Government’s final response to the recommendations from the Australia 2020 Summit.
While the Australian Government is interested in hearing all viewpoints, the submissions process may not be the most appropriate means of making a complaint, seeking assistance, or making representations about current policy or service delivery issues. For matters that require a specific action or response, it may be more appropriate to write to your local Member of Parliament, the responsible Federal Minister, or the Prime Minister. Depending on the issue, you might also consider contacting the relevant State, Territory or local government.
Making a submission
You can make a submission of ideas on any of the 10 core long-term challenges for Australia in 500 words or less using the online form. Submissions received online will be acknowledged by an automatically generated email.
Alternatively, you can download the electronic form and post your submission to the Australia 2020 Secretariat at the following address:
